4th of July

Know before you go!

STAY ON THE TRAIL

Please don’t cut switchbacks! It causes erosion, destroys vegetation, and ruins the trail. This trail has many switchbacks, please use them!

PACK IT IN; PACK IT OUT

Most of our trailheads do not have trash facilities. Please be prepared to pack out all of your trash from the trail and trailhead.

CAMPFIRES

Only use dead, down wood. Use existing fire rings and make sure your fire is out before you leave. If it's too hot to touch, it's too hot to leave. Check fire restrictions before you head out.

GO BEFORE YOU GO

Bury human waste 6-8 inches deep. All toilet paper and wipes must be packed out. There is a restroom at the 4th of July Trailhead.

BEARS

Store your food in a bear hang or bear proof container. A fed bear IS a dead bear. Help keep our wildlife wild.
