CANCELLED
Out of respect for the Sawtooth community, as the Wapiti Fire causes evacuations west of Stanley, IRU and the Sawtooth Association have decided to CANCEL Sawtooth Salmon Festival. Hot, dry conditions, and high winds have helped the fire double in size in less than two days.
If you're in Stanley or at Redfish Lake on Saturday and want to learn about salmon, we will have activities and details about where to find chinook redds at the Stanley Museum and the Redfish Lake Visitors Center. We will also have up-to-date fire information.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We are sad to have to make this decision but do not want to add any strain to the situation.
Thank you to our nonprofit partners, vendors, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, our sponsors, and our supporters and attendees for your interest and commitment to Idaho’s salmon and steelhead. We are already thinking about Salmon Fest 2025 and hope to see you there.
